I love Hoisin Sauce, but most sauces are around 2.5 syns for a tablespoon and that isn’t going to stretch very far when you like lots of sauce with your rice or noodles. Hoisin sauce can be pretty strong in flavour, so a great way to make the sauce go that little bit further while still keeping the syns low is to mix some with some passata or crushed tomatoes, a little garlic and some water.

You still get that lovely hoisin taste and the chicken is super tender and delicious, because you literally just brown the chicken in the pan, remove, add the sauce, simmer till thickened and back goes in the chicken until cooked.

Perfect served with just some plain rice or noodles and vegetables. Or if you prefer to create more of a fakeaway style dish, then try this with my AMAZING Egg Fried Rice.

I don’t know about you, but I adore a good Chinese Fakeaway. Since starting our slimming journey long gone are the days of wanting a rather calorific Chinese, when you can make dishes like this Hoi Sin Chicken! Ready in the time that it would take for our local takeaway to deliver.
